Terms & Conditions

All orders are placed with Tyler Leslie. All sales and business are between you and Tyler Leslie.

Items/furniture is sold “as is” (but newly made for you) with no warranties. As many steps as possible are taken to ensure all items are as stable as possible, but wood can be unpredictable and sometimes changes may occur (cracks, splitting, cracked wood filler and seasonal wood movement etc.). Wood is not “perfectly-perfect” either. Once it’s finished it can still have bumps, ridges and marks from tools and sanding. It will not have a hard plastic coating on top of it unless you requested that (epoxy). If the item you want is made with a softwood (pine,spruce, fur) these features can be slightly more noticeable. Parts of full projects (table tops, bases of tables, shelves without brackets, etc) made by me stop at those items only. I cannot guarantee it will attach to your existing project or match up with something you are trying to do. I will do my best with the information you give me.

Prices for items can change from time to time due to costs. Once a price is quoted for an item it is good for 7 days. A paid deposit is an agreement to these terms and the final quote. Placing an order here or through other means with Tyler Leslie assumes you’ve read and agree to these terms.

——PAYMENTS——

50% of the total (non refundable deposit) is due at time of order and the remainder is due on pick up of item(s). Payment options can be made with e-Transfer or through other means discussed.

——CANCELLATION POLICY——

50% of the total price is required to start a project and is non-refundable once materials are acquired.

A deposit is required for all orders. Once this deposit is received, the project planning will start. Deposits are collected to protect time and costs. If you wish to cancel an order, you can do so until materials are acquired. After materials are acquired the deposit is non refundable and materials are forfeit in lieu of time.

——RETURN POLICY——

All sales are considered final.

——THINGS CHANGE——

If you find that you have something wrong with your item or that the wood has changed, you may contact to see about possible options to help with it. If it is something that can be easily done to remedy (repairs or replacement of parts) it will be discussed and potentially charged costs associated with repairs.

——NO SHOW PICK UP——

Pick up will be on the date/time agreed upon when order is placed or when the customer is notified it will be ready and a pick up date/time is agreed to. Failure to pick up your item within a reasonable amount of time of the pickup date or constantly changing dates will cause the forfeit of your deposit and the item made. A warning will be given if this is to happen.

——PICKUP/DELIVERY——

While my shop is not open to the public, you may pick up your items. Or sometimes if I am out & about in town, I can meet up somewhere (for smaller items) at no cost. You are expected to make appropriate plans for picking up, transporting and moving the products once they are ready. Damage caused by moving, bumps, dropping products, etc. during Pick up/Meet up/Delivery is not the responsibility of seller. Actual delivery is sometimes possible but there is a flat starting fee of $50 in the Middleton to Aylesford area of the 101 HWY.
