MindGate is an artificial intelligence construct created by the Scuratt'kan scientist Ll'Thay. Physically, it is located deep within the heart of the Scuratt'kan capital city of Scurrath, but MindGate is capable of being nearly everywhere and seeing nearly everything. Before the AI was constructed, the Scuratt'ka were little more than primitive beings, relying on archaic, age-old technology that would have done them no favors in their planned battle with mankind. Now, the AI controls nearly every single aspect of Scuratt'kan society, and integrates everything seamlessly.
Kordan Armor and Weaponry
The most impressive use of MindGate's abilities shines through in the use of Kordan armor and weapons. MindGate is virtually uploaded to every set of Kordan armor via a small chip, and can then directly control the malleability of the armor and weaponry carried by the Scuratt'kan warrior. The warrior, MindGate, and the armor all form a symbiotic bond so that whatever the warrior desires will be interpreted by MindGate and performed by the armor. In this way, weapons can be reshaped into different types of armament and armor can take on different forms and weights. This makes a Scuratt'kan elite warrior unbelieveably deadly in the field.
