Ambulatory Mechanized Battle Armor (AMBA)

The Ambulatory Mechanized Battle Armor, or AMBA, is the US Military's most potent form of war machine. It is a 12 foot tall exoskeleton, and can by outfitted with a blistering array of technology and weaponry - everything from plasma repeaters to high-caliber machine guns can be mounted on the chassis at various points. The AMBA was developed for the Marines by MikkaDyne to counter against the massive Scuratt'kan elite warriors, which sport nearly indestructible Kordan armor.

Operation is simple: The Marine stepps inside the cockpit of the armor and places his or her hand on a small blue pad which sends a signal from the vehicle straight into the brain of the occupant, allowing the Marine to see and control the AMBA via a symbiotic method that allows for far more in-depth combat.

Weaponry, as stated above, can be quite varied, yet the main focus of the AMBA is plasma technology. Since plasma tech cannot be carried by a normal solider as it is far too large, the AMBA is perfectly suited to carrying several of these types of weapons. Plasma is the only form of munition capable of rending Kordan armor, and as such an AMBA is a prized possession and an absolute necessity when facing elite Scuratt'ka.
